Employee Highlight: Kaylee Alligood

by Maggie Chisum

In this series we are going to highlight the members of our team – starting with one of our Account Managers, Kaylee Alligood. Kaylee is a wife and a mother to both a fur baby and a beautiful baby boy, Holt. When she isn’t in the office, she is hanging with her growing family, or cheering on the Dawgs.

Kaylee has been with SCI for a year and eight months, and is continually raising the standard on our team. We asked her a few questions, and (in typical Kaylee fashion) they are above and beyond what we were asking of her…

  1. Favorite part of the job?

Connecting with new people every day and getting exposure and understanding into a wide range of companies and positions. I learn something new every single day.

  1. Most memorable candidate experience?

This is a tough one! It really is so rewarding playing a part in helping a candidate find their next opportunity and getting to share in that excitement with them. I think the experience that comes to mind first is a candidate I supported in the process for a Mixed Reality Software Engineer position. The opportunity came along at the right time for her, as she had been freelancing for over a year and was eager to get back into a team role with an exciting company she could plant roots and grow with. She was so communicative and patient through the multi-step interview process and the role was a great fit from both sides.

A few weeks after her start date, I reached out to check in and her response is what has stayed with me the most. She shared that she had never been happier in a role and felt so welcomed by the entire team. Moreover, she shared that the benefits package was a game changer for her, and being able to take care of herself with medical coverage, as well as invest in her financial future with the 401k and Roth IRA matching program. Hearing directly from a candidate how their new role has positively impacted their life is what it’s all about!

  1. If you could have anyone’s job at SCI, whose would you take and why?

Sounds cheesy, but I honestly do not want any other role right now. There is definitely a lot of opportunity for growth here at SCI and I love that! But right now I am very happy as an Account Manager, and still feel I have a lot to learn and contribute in this role before thinking about that next step.

  1. Favorite role to recruit on?

Another tough one! I really enjoy any tech role and the challenge of finding the perfect candidate within a very specific set of skill requirements.

  1. Fun fact about you?

I could eat nachos every day 🙂

We love having Kaylee on our team, and we know that if you are a prospective candidate/client, you are in excellent hands partnering with her.
